Reclaiming Our Futures is a two-day artistic–scientific festival bringing together scientists, artists, activists, and citizens to collectively reflect on and reimagine the worlds we want to inhabit. Taking place at the Lindenberg Culture House in Nijmegen on September 26–27, 2026, the festival will offer a safe and creative space for conversation, experimentation, and connection.
Grounded in intersectional Solidarity and anti-oppressive perspectives, the festival invites contributions that explore alternative ways of relating to one another, technologies, Communication, and knowledge systems. We especially welcome proposals engaging with themes such as:
>>> Language Pluralities; Slow technological futures; Critical AI Literacy; Convivial Tools; Social Justice; Epistemic Justice; Indigenous Futures; Multispecies relations; Pluriversality; decoloniality; care and repair; Speculative Futures; etc.
We encourage experimental, participatory, Transdisciplinary, and multimodal formats (no traditional Academic Lectures will be featured, No ‘AI’generated media will be accepted):

We invite proposals for workshops that foster collective reflection, experimentation, learning, or creation around the theme Reclaiming Our Futures.
▷ SCREEN YOUR SHORT FILM
We invite submissions of short artistic, experimental, documentary, speculative, or research-based films engaging with the theme Reclaiming Our Futures.
▷ EXHIBIT YOUR ILLUSTRATION
Throughout the festival, an exhibition space will feature Scientific / artistic Visual Creations and posters related to the theme Reclaiming Our Futures.
